Hello, my name is Ryan Zorzut!

I’m a filmmaker/comedian based in Melbourne, Australia with a deep love for silly, deadpan comedy.

I have just completed post-production on my debut feature film SQUIDS. A pastiche of cheesy extreme sport films of the past, SQUIDS follows an underdog team of competitive scooter racers preparing to face off against a wealthy, rival crew in a big scooter race. Look out for it in 2026!

In 2017, I wrote and produced the 4-part web series THE Y2K BUG. The series follows a deadly computer virus as it infects and travels through the world's most popular television shows of 1999.

Since 2013, I have performed improvised and sketch comedy all across Australia in festivals including Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Melbourne Fringe Festival and Perth Fringe World Festival. I am a long-serving cast member of the Improv Conspiracy Theatre in Melbourne and have studied at The Second City Theatre in Chicago. Currently, you can see me in the monthly improv show THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE.

I love screenwriting, 90s movies and TV shows, sketch comedy, DVD bonus features, pop punk, animation and the New York Knicks. If you’re interested in working with me or just talking about any of those things then reach out to me at ryan@loserfriendpictures.com!
